Jessica Chastain disturbed by Cannes’ representation of women

Jessica Chastain, one of the jury members at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, said the representation of women on film in 2017 is surprising and disturbing. “This is the first time I watched 20 films in 10 days, and I love movies, and the one thing I really took away from this experience is how the world views women. It was quite disturbing to me, to be honest. There are some exceptions. For the most part, I was surprised with the representation of female characters on screen in these films,” she stated at a press conference after the closing ceremony.

Ariana Grande’s mom tweets for Manchester

Ariana Grande’s mother Joan Grande is sending her love and support to the people of Manchester after the terrorist attack. Joan was in attendance at the concert and was still sitting in the front row when the bombing happened outside of the Manchester Arena in England. She reportedly rushed some fans to safety by bringing them backstage. “I join my daughter in extending my help and services to all those affected by the diabolical act of terror which occurred in Manchester,” she tweeted on Memorial Day.

Robert Pattinson was fired from ‘Twilight’?

Robert Pattinson, the main face of the Twilight, was nearly fired from the series. He recently told an entertainment magazine that he was almost fired while making the first film, which was released in 2008. His agents intervened, flying to the Canadian set to calm him down. The star stated that he’d taken his method acting so seriously that he was fighting with everybody in control all the time. “…To the point where I almost got fired,” he said.

Prince William opens up about Princess Diana’s death

“I still find it difficult now,” said Prince William, opening up about the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana. In a rare interview with the British GQ, the Duke of Cambridge said, “I am in a better place about it than I have been for a long time, where I can talk about her more openly, talk about her more honestly, and I can remember her better, and publicly talk about her better. It has taken me almost twenty years to get to that stage. I still find it difficult now because at the time it was so raw.”

Kim credits Kanye for her style transformation

Kim Kardashian recently set the record straight by crediting Kanye West, and not Monica Rose, for her style transformation. She was on Andy Cohen’s ‘Watch What Happens Live!’, when the host asked Kim about the rumours that the star and the rest of the family had severed ties and association with their go-to celebrity stylist, Monica Rose. Although Kim avoided directly answering the question, she pointed out that she hadn’t worked with Monica in four years and that her husband and the team he picked out, totally transformed her style.
