Oman’s hospitality scene is set to receive a boost with the opening of Caramel Restaurant & Lounge – Muscat. The upscale dining and entertainment lounge from UAE based Caramel Group will be located at the Opera Galleria and will offer patrons the latest American contemporary cuisine and a creative combination of global favourites. The establishment will also offer a full range of beverages with the resident DJ setting the scene with sophisticated and eclectic beats. The Lounge will embody the signature style and chic décor characteristic of the Caramel Group. Including both terrace and indoor seating options, set within the luxurious Opera Galleria Muscat, the restaurant-lounge is expected to become the capital’s go-to venue for tantalizing dining and entertainment. Caramel Restaurant & Lounge – Muscat will open its doors to the public next month with a grand opening expected before the end of the year.

SalamAir Debuts its Brand Identity

Capturing the essence of Oman and demonstrating its commitment to the future of aviation industry, SalamAir, Oman’s first budget airline, revealed its brand identity at a formal event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asad Al Said, Assistant Secretary General for Communications and Branding at The Research Council. Inspired by the soul of Oman and its people, the airline’s promise of ‘Always Welcome’ encapsulates its customer-focused philosophy whereas the logo pays tribute to the Sultanate’s diverse architectural forms. The brand colours, derived from Oman’s picturesque landscapes, mirror the tones of the sea and lush flora and fauna. The debut was attended by representatives of ASAAS and SalamAir as well government officials, shareholders, members of the travel and tourism industry and media.

Sheraton Oman Reopens

Muscat’s towering landmark, Sheraton Oman Hotel, was formally reopened earlier this month at a glittering function. The opening, announced by Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, comes after a transformative renovation of its guestrooms, public spaces and food and beverage offerings. Owned by Al Hashar Hotels LLC, under the umbrella of Al Hashar Group, and in association with Twenty14 Holdings, the 230-room hotel has been a landmark in Muscat for over three decades ensuring guests can experience more in the heart of the city. Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Al Muhannad Al Hashar said, “Sheraton Oman, the tallest building in the country, has played a key role in shaping the hospitality sector in Oman since it first started business in 1985.” Showcasing interiors with distinctive touches of Omani culture, all rooms are outfitted with the Sheraton brand’s signature amenities and services, including the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience.

After the successful introduction of the National Day fares to Salalah and Khasab, with discounts up to 50 percent on specific flights and dates, Oman Air has announced the introduction of the new ‘Flight Pass’ pre-purchase offer. With this new offer, regular travellers between Khasab and Muscat and Salalah and Muscat will be able to pre-purchase an online booklet of 5 to 10 travel vouchers at discounts of up to 30 percent off the standard fare for travel in specific booking classes, without further restrictions. The booklets can be purchased via the Oman Air web site from November 18, 2016 for travel anytime starting in December 2016.
